Hummingbirds have to be one of America's all time favorites. They certainly are mine. I was inspired to paint this watercolor selection after driving in downtown Columbia, MO, where I saw an old Victorian style home with a white picket fence around the yard. What a wonderful setting for a male and female ruby-throat hummingbird preparing to dine on trumpet creeper, one of their favorite nectars.
