The inspiration for this watercolor painting came to me after an early morning summer stroll through the Shelter Insurance Gardens, with my daughter. She had pointed to a frog which I never saw in the lotus pond. After I later developed a few reference photos, I discovered the young bull frog sitting motionless on it's sheltered platform.
